PARENT, Alice Blackburn (nee: Guard), 104 of Lebanon, died Thursday, March 8, 2018. Born to Charles and Margaret (nee: Blackburn) Guard on November 2, 1913 in Lebanon, OH. Alice was a secretary for Rike's Department Store for more than 25 years. She enjoyed volunteering at Otterbein Lebanon and was very active with the Lebanon United Methodist Church. Alice and her friends were part of the Methodist Little Sisters. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing and painting in her free time.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles Parent, brother, Charles L. Guard Jr and two sisters, Betty Tapley and Persha Price.

Alice is survived by her six loving nieces, Allison Nordgren, Judy (Duane) Kline, Martha (Wayne) Brown, Barbara Tapley, Margie Barker and Robin (Dale) Long, four nephews, David (Sally) Tapley, Charles L. Guard III, Hudson (Wanda) Guard and Garrett (Kristal) Guard and fourteen great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 24th at 10:00AM at the Otterbein Lebanon Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Otterbein Benevolent Fund. Arrangements made by Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon. Online condolences to www.hoskinsfh.com.
