A resident of Hammond, she died Wednesday, May 10, 2000, at Hammond Nursing Home. She was 98 and a native of Abita Springs. Religious services at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, at 11 a.m. Friday. Interment in Ponchatoula Cemetery. Survived by a sister, Beatrice G. Lilly, Hammond. Preceded in death by her parents, William Griffin and Mary Lott Griffin; three sisters, Hester Allen, Ruby Mixon and Rachael Griffin; and two brothers, William Griffin and Otis Griffin.
