Hermann C. Graf is a 39 year old white male, head of household, born August 1860 in Louisiana of German parents. He is a house painter and rents his home. His wife, 28 year old Johanna E. Graf was born in August 1871 in Louisiana, her father in Germany, her mother in Indiana. Daughter Lillian B. Graf is 6, born September 1893. Son Sidney H. Graf is 5 and was born in August 1894. Son Roger M. Graf, age 4, was born in January 1896. Daughter Myrtle I. Graf is 2, born August 1897. All the children were born in Louisiana, except Lillian, born in Virginia.

Johanna is 39 years old, in her 2nd marriage, has had 6 children, 3 still living. Martin was born in Germany as were his parents, rents the home, and is not employed as he is an invalid. Johanna is Louisiana born, father from Germany, mother from Indiana. She is a self employed shop keeper of dry grocery.
Their three stepchildren (Johanna's children from her first marriage) live with them. Step daughter 16 year old Lillian B Graf born in Virginia of Louisiana parents is unemployed. Step son 15 year old Sidney H E Graf was Louisiana born as were his parents, and works as an office boy in a real estate office. Step son 14 year old Roger M Graf is Louisiana born and is a wagon driver for a retail grocery.
Also living there is Johanna's brother Frank O Diettel, a 42 year old white male married 23 years to 45 year old Katie and their 11 yeal old son Ernst. I reread your letter and found one small error Eliza Miller was really Eliza Muller, Bernard Albert Diettel's wife. If you try to track her father back it confirms this. Johanna Eliza Diettel Graf was the sister of Albert Frederick Diettel. She married Sidney Graf. Albert Frederick Diettel's other sister was Rosalia Josephine Diettel Graf. My father and I are named after her husband Otto Graf. This was a case of two sisters marring two brothers.
