Ervin C. Federmann, a cherished member of the Cincinnati community, passed away on October 16, 2024, at the age of 86. Born on April 22, 1938, Erv lived a life dedicated to family, sports, and service, creating enduring memories for all who knew him.
As a member of the U.S. Air Force, Erv served his country with pride and honor, instilling values of discipline and dedication in all aspects of his life. His commitment to service extended beyond his military duties, as he devoted many years to coaching youth sports including basketball, football, softball, baseball, and soccer. His passion for sports was complemented by his love for golf, and he found joy in watching his children and grandchildren excel in their various athletic and personal pursuits. Erv had a unique sense of humor that would bring laughter to everyone around him and tears to some.
Erv was an active member of the St. Teresa Men's Club and involved with the St. Teresa Athletic Association for many years. His legacy of encouragement and mentorship will be remembered by many.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Federmann for 64 years, and his children David (Peggy) Federmann, Gary (Sherri) Federmann, Lori Keller, Lisa (Scott) Schaerer and the late Daniel (Leslye-living) Federmann, Erv's grandchildren\emdash Heather (Logan), Hannah (Bob), Hogan, Abby, Keller, Karly, Hunter, Tanner, Chase, Nate, Ella, Jack, Kyle (Danielle), Austin (Payton), and Lindsey\emdash were a source of pride, each carrying forward his spirit and love. Additionally, he was a proud great-grandfather to Sage, Levi, Hudson, and Jack.
Erv is further survived by his sibling, Ed Federmann, and his sister, Carol (Steve) Lieland, both of whom shared fond childhood memories with him.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home 4619 Delhi Rd., followed by a Mass at St. Teresa of Avila at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ervin Federmann's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St. Teresa of Avila School.
Erv Federmann leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and spirited community involvement. He will be dearly missed by family and friends alike.
