The have a 7 month old son, Milton Geissler, Jr. Also living with them is 19 year old sister-in-law Carmen Louviere, single, educated through 4 years of high school, a saleslady at a department store. Carmen has been unemployed for 18 weeks, and in 1939 worked 32 weeks, earning $312. All members of the household were born in Louisiana and lived in the same place in 1935.

JEWELRY IS TAKEN FROM APARTMENT
Jewelry with a total value of $817 was taken from the apartment of Milton Geissler, 20, 526 Royal, by burglars early Sunday. Police said the robery was effected after unidentified persons forced a door of the apartment.

TWO ARE SHOT IN ALTERCATION
Murder Attempt Charged to Quarter Resident
One of two men shot in an altercation early Saturday at an apartment at 705 Orleans was undergoing treatment Saturday at Charity Hospital for a gun shot wound of the left side.
The man, more seriously injured of the two, is Milton E. Geissler, 25, 538½ Royal; said by Charity Hospital to be in serious condition:
The other man, who suffered a bullet wound in the left wrist, is Adolfo Martinez, 23, of the Orleans address; who is being held at First District police station, on charges of attempted murder in. connection with the altercation.
Police said Geissler told them that Martinez shot him; but he refused to relate any details.
. Martinez told police he shot Geissler during. a struggle for the gun. He told investigating officers he and Geissler were together most of the night and that Geissler was despondent. He said that about 2 a. m. he walked into the bedroom of the
apartment and found Geissler clutching the gun; a revolver.
Martinez said both he and Geissler were wounded during the struggle for the gun.

3 ROBBERS FORCE WAY INTO QUARTER APARTMENTS
Police were searching Wednesday for three young white men who forced their way inside an Orleans st. apartment Tuesday night, threatened the occupant, and fled with more than $5,000 worth of jewelry and clothing.
The occupant, Milton Geissler, 25, of 816 Orleans, told police he fired a shot at the men as they fled. Police theorized the shot struck one of the men because blood was found in front of the apartment building.
Geissler said the men forced their way inside his apartment after ringing his doorbell.
Geissler was also robbed of $270.

JEWELRY, CLOTHING STOLEN FROM HOME
Burglars in the residence of Milton Geissler, 835 Burgundy, stole jewelry and wearing apparel totally valued at $1542. First District police reported Thursday.
Investigating officers were unable to find evidence of a forced entry.

Geissler, Sr. Brother of Michael Geissler of Opelousas. LA and lone Geissler of California. Brother-in-law of Nancy Mizzi Geissler. Also survived by a nephew Mlchael Geissler, Jr. and neices, Sara Geissler, Heather Geissler Bares. Anna Geissler and Stacey Yandell and other relatives. Also survived by special friends Harold Tom Diks of Long Beach, CA. Mary McMann and Barbara Sue Carter of Manassas, VA and Helen Maple ol Franklin, LA. Mr. Geissler was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Franklin, LA for 10 years. A graduate of George Mason University and earned a Masters Degree in Education with honors from the University of Virginia. He taught in Virginia, California and most recently
ln St. Mary Parish before retirement. He served in the U W Marine Corps, was an American Kennel Club dog show judge in the U.S., and avid bridge player and world traveler.

Milton E. "Mickey" Geissler Jr., a retired teacher, died Aug. 9 of complications from a fall at his home. He was 64. Mr. Geissler was born in New Orleans and lived in the Centerville-Franklin area for the past 10 years. He graduated from George Mason University and earned a master's degree in education from the University of Virginia. He taught in Virginia, California and St. Mary Parish. He was an American Kennel Club dog show judge and a Marine Corps veteran. Survivors include a brother. Michael Geissler of Opelousas, and a sister, lone Geissler of California. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery No. 3, 1401 Louise St. 'l'harp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
