Sale of her house after her death:
Laurel St. 5510. Margaret Gann Lalande Seemann to Cathy Becker Ellis and Kevin P. Ellis, $81,200

Per Bill Silbernagel
This is my grandmother Henrietta Harris's one-half 1st cousin. I remember her coming to many family events around holidays. My mother would sometimes take me as a child to her house on Constance street. I remember a cheerful husband Vic. I remember they had a large console TV with three color films hanging on the front of it. It looked like color TV, back when I only knew of Black and White TV. She also had a piano my sister and I would play on. When I grew older, I would go by her house around holidays to bring her to my grandmothers house for visits. She talked openly about someday leaving her house and possessions to family, and once she asked me to read her will and give her my opinion. I looked at it, but could not read her hand writing.
Research:
I remember Madeline and Vic living iat 5510 Laurel with Uncle Harry Gann and Aunt Addie. Vic was short and stocky, balding. I remember the TV as you said and the piano in the long side hallway...you and I used to bang on it. Their house was a shotgun double. Vic had a camp. I do not remember who trashed it but I do remember we visited it one time. Vic may have been married before Madeline and there in are the children, but Madeline never had children. Vic used to go stay at the camp for long periods of time w/o Madeline. The picture is most likely her. I do remember she worked downtown for a stationary store. Seems to me she also worked somewhere else on Lee Circle next to Phillip Lorio's dad's company or maybe that was the stationary store. I think my wedding invitations came from where she worked...but those memories are fuzzy. Sorry I am not more of a help. I have visual memory of the inside of their house pretty well and the piano and the potato salad and that is about it.
