Betty Andrews West, age 86, a resident of the Jonesville Community in Roane County passed away at home Monday, January 7, 2008.She was born May 9, 1921 in Farmington, Indiana.

Betty was a kind, caring, loving wife and homemaker. She worked occasionally as a substitute teacher and teachers assistant for many years in the Roane County School System. She was a faithful member of the Jonesville United Methodist Church.

Betty was married to Robert A. West who passed away on the same date in 1995. She is also preceded in death by her parents; Albert and Alma Andrews, by a grandson; Dustin Catron, by a son-in-law;Teddy ?Butch? Catron, and by three brothers; Eugene, Merle, and Verle Andrews.

She is survived by sons; A. Edward West and wife Mary Ann of Athens, AL, and Robert West and wife Sherry of Maryville, by daughters; Deborah May and husband Kenneth of Oak Ridge, and Sandra Catron of Knoxville. Betty has a sister, Maralee Peters of Milan, Indiana. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 9, 2008 between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 pm at Sharp Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 8:00 pm with Rev. John Justice officiating. Burial and graveside services will be held Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 11:00 am at Anderson Memorial Gardens. Due to her great love for the Jonesville United Methodist
Church, the family ask that memorial contributions be made to the church at 847 Poplar Creek Road, Oliver Springs, Tennessee 37840. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. An online register book is available at www.sharpfh.com
