Woodrow J. Anderson, 69, Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009, unexpectedly passed away.

Woodrow "Rowe" graduated from Mayville Central School in 1958. He graduated from Tri-State University with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering in 1961. Woodrow joined the Ohio Department of Transportation in 1961 and he obtained his PE. Woodrow retired after 34 years of service. After retirement he joined M-E Civil Engineering as a consultant. He was also a member of the Ohio Department of Transportation, Ohio Contractors Association, American Concrete Paving Association, Ohio Ready Mix Association and Holy Spirit Church.Woodrow was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow R. and Clare Anderson. Survived by his wife, Susan F. Anderson; children: Terri Schott (Rick) of Liberty, Mo., Kimberly Anderson of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Ellen Murphy (Gary) of Terre Haute, Ind.; grandchildren: Abigail, Caroline and Grace Schott, Aidan and Brady Murphy; sisters and brother: Errol Anderson, Corinne Szostek, Irene Burrows and Wendy Doody; other relatives and friends.A family burial service was officiated by Fr. Remick at Mayville Cemetery, Mayville, N.Y., on Aug. 7.
