Wedding Saturday Ufites Local Man And Miss Catherine Dick, Cleves Teacher
   The marriage of Miss Catherine Dick, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Dick of Cleves, Ohio, to Robert J. Schwing, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Schwing of this city, took place at the Cleves Methodist church last Saturday evening at 7:30 o'clock. 
   The single ring ceremony was read by the Rev. D. E. Jameson, pastor of the church, before an altar banked with pink and white gladioli and ferns, and many fall lighted white tapers. Baskets of flowers were arranged throughout the remainder of the church auditorium. The center aisle down which the bridal party entered was covered with white and roped off with white satin ribbons. .
   A half hour's organ recital and music of bridal airs preceded the ceremony. 
   The bride, who entered on the arm of her father who gave her in mariage, was lovely in a white satin gown made period style with, square neck, long tight sleeves, fitted bodice and hoop skirt. Her finger tin veil was caught by a tiny bouquet of white flowers. She carried a small colonial bouquet of white calla lillies and wore a pearl necklace.
   Her attendants were dressed in pastel shades of taffeta, made on the same lines as the bride's dress, except the sleeves were short and puffed. They carried pastel colonial bouquets and wore wreaths of the flowers in their hair.
   Miss Frances Miller, the maid of honor, was dressed in violet colored taffeta and the bridesmaids, Mrs. Ruth Endress and Mrs. Dorothy Knight, were gowned in dusty rose and turquoise blue respectively.
   Little Ruby Duiham, as flower girl, was. dressed in light blue taffeta period style gown and preceded the bride down the aisle, strewing rose petals in her path.
   Mr. Schwing's best man was his brother, Paul, and ushers were Lyndon Moon, Robert Rupp. Beryl Knight and James Durham.
   Following the ceremony a reception for about 250 friends and relatives was held at the home of the bride's parents. The home was beautifully decorated with baskets of flowers, and a decorated wedding cake graced the center of the dining table. A program of piano and violin music was presented during the evening. The many beautiful wedding gifts were on display at a long table in the living room.
   Late in the evening the happy couple slipped away on a short wedding trip which took them to an unknown destination.
   Mrs. Schwing is a graduate of Cleves high school and of Miami University. For the past two years she has been engaged as an instructor in the Cleves high school and she will continue her teaching duties there this winter. 
   Mr. Schwing is a graduate of Lawrenceburg high school and is employed at Seagrams.
   They will be at home to their many friends after Aug. 25, at 210 Porter street, Cleves.
