TAX BOARD ORDER BACKED BY COURT
Wife's Separate Property Is Held Within Community
The separate property of a wife falls within the community property law of the state, Judge Harold A. Moise in civil district court held Monday in affirming action by the state board of tax appeals in ordering Mrs. Lillian Fabacher Trorlicht to pay deficiency tax assessments for 1938 and 1939.
The payment was ordered on the salary she received for her attendance at meetings of the board of directors of the Jackson Brewing Company, of which she is a member.
"Under the law as established by our highest court," Judge Moise said, "the income from the wife's separate property falls within the community even though the property is not administered by the husband, because as stated by the honorable supreme court, the question is not so much by whom the property was physically managed as it is for whose benefit it was managed.
"In the instant case the income of the wife was used for the benefit of the community; therefore there is no error in the decision of the board of tax appeals, and its judgment will therefore be affirmed."
The additional tax was $205.57 for 1938 and $592.24 for 1939.

NEW ORLEANS WEDDING OF INTEREST
The following account of the wedding of Miss Lillian Fabacher, of New Orleans and Mr. Albert Trorlicht, formerly of St. Louis, Mo., will be read with interest by Columbus friends:
"One of the most beautiful weddings of the early summer was that of Miss Lillian Fabacher, the lovely and accomplished young daughter of Sir and Mrs. Laurence Fabacher, to Mr. Oscar Albert Trorlicht, formerly of St. Louis, Mo. The wedding took place on Wednesday, May 21, at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, in St. Charles avenue, where a nuptial mass was solemnized by the Very Rev. A. E. Otis, rector of the church and president of Loyola University. Father Otis was assisted by Very Rev. Father Foulkes, S. J. president of the Jesuit College in Baronne street and several other Fathers of the Society of Jesus.
The church was brilliantly illuminated and artistically decorated with Easter lilies and numerous palms and ferns. No invitations had been issued for the wedding, owing to the date being advanced in order that the bridegroom's mother and sister, who were then in the city on a visit, could have the great happiness of assisting at the ceremonies before departing for their home in St. Louis. The sacred edifice was crowded not only with relatives, but with numerous friends of the contracting parties.
The bride never looked lovelier than on this occasion as she walked up the aisle leaning on the arm of her noble and beloved father. She was handsomely gowned of point lace over white charmeuse, which was "trimmed with orange blossoms, and married a bouquet of lilies of the valley and orchids. The only attendant was her sister, Miss Edna Fabacher, who acted as maid of honor, and the best man was Mr. Laurence Fabacher, Jr., a brother of the bride. Miss Edna Fabacher wore a white lingerie and lace over rose- colored silk and pink crepe lisse and lace trimmed with pink roses. She carried pink sweet- pea blossoms and lilies of the valley.
Preceding the bride were the ushers, Messrs. J. H. Edwards and l. E. Robichaux. Immediately after the ceremonies a wedding breakfast of about fifty covers, for the relatives only of the two families were served at the palatial residence of the bride's parents in St. Charles Avenue. The breakfast was served on the broad Italian terrace and porch of the residence. The table were magnificently decorated with great clusters of Easter lilies.
The great feature of this beautiful Christian wedding was the special benediction of the Holy Father, which was cabled from Rome. This was a great honor.
The bridal couple left the same morning on a bridal tour to Panama, and on their return will be at home temporarily with the bride's parents. The ever kind and benevolent father will build a home for the young couple as one of his wedding gifts. The Morning Star extends its sincerest congratulations - New Orleans Morning Star.
