Miss Beeson
Mr. and Mrs. Luther W. Beeson of Denham Springs reveal the betrothal of their daughter, Betty Sue, to Mr. Joe A. Durnin son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Durnin Sr., also of Denham Springs.
On May 26 the couple will be married in the Amlte Baptist Church at 8 o'clock in the evening. Friends and relatives are invited through thls medium to attend the ceremony.
Miss Beeson is a graduate of Denham Springs High School. Mr. Durnin, a graduate of Live Oak High School, attends Southeastern Louisiana College.

Attendants Are Named By Couple
Miss Betty Sue Beeson and Mr. Joseph Arnold Durnin, who are to be married Saturday are today announcing the names of those who will serve as attendants for their wedding. The couple will be married at 8 o'clock at night at the Amite Baptist Church in Denham Springs.
Serving her sister as matron of honor will be Mrs. John A. Durnin of Plaquemine, while bridesmaids are to include Miss Bobbie Amie of Denham Springs and Miss Fonda Hughes of Baton Rouge, cousin of the bride-groom-elect. .
Mr. John A. Durnin Jr. of Plaquemine will attend his brother as best man and serving as groomsmen will be Mr. Leroy Shillings of Denham Springs and Mr. Owen Norgress, also of Denham Springs.
Ushers are to include Mr. Skipper Hughes of Baton Rouge and Mr. Charles Allen of Denham Springs.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Beeson of Denham Springs, while parents of the prospective bride are Mr. and Mrs J. A. Durnin Sr. of Denham Springs.

Baptist Rites Held Uniting J. A. Durnins
Mlss Betty Sue Beeson and Mr. Joseph Arnold Durnin exchanged wedding vows at an 8 o'clock ceremony Saturday evening at the Amite Baptist Church in Denham Springs.
Rev. C. P, Currier performed the double-ring ceremony. The church was decorated with baskets of white gladioli and pompons, and family pews were marked with white satin bows and greenery.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luther W. Beeson of Denham Springs. while Mr. and Mrs. John A. Durnin Sr., also of Denham Springs, are parents of the bridegroom.
Mrs. Martin Morgan, organist, and Mlss Carolyn Owens. soloist, presented a program of nuptial music.
Bride's Attire
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gem of silk-faced peau de sole. The fitted bodice was fashioned with a sweetheart neckline and short sleeves, while the front of the skirt was patterned with
embroidered alencon lace and caught at the sides with unpressed pleats that terminated in a train. Her shoulder-length veil of silk illusion was held in place with a crown of seed-pearls. and she carried a cascade of white bridal roses and stephanotis.
In keeping with tradition the bride carried her grandmothers gold wedding band. which was attached to her bouquet. Her wedding gown was something new, and her single strand of-pearls and pearl earrings were borrowed from a close friend. Mrs. Marvin I. Hebert. Included in her attire was a detail of blue and a six-
pence.
In Coterie
Attending her sister as matron of honor was Mrs. John A. Durnin Jr. of Plaquemine. She wore a red satin peau de soie dress. The bodice was made with a scooped neckline, short sleeves and cummerbund. The skirt featured crisscross pleats in the back. Her capulet and shoes matched her dress. She carried a cascade bouquet of red Happiness roses.
The bridesmaids were Miss Bobbie Aime of Denham Springs and Miss Fonda Hughes of Baton Rouge. They were white satin peau de soie dresses made identically to that of the matron of honor. Their shoes and petal capalets matched their dresses, and they also carried bouquets of red Happiness roses.
Mr. John A. Durnin Jr. of Plaquemine served as best man for his brother. Groomsmen included Mr. Owen Norgress and Mr. Leroy Shillings, both of Denham Springs. Ushers were Mr. Lawrence Hughes of Baton Rouge and Mr. Charles Allen of Denham Springs.
Reception Held
At the ensuing reception, held at the home of the bride's parents, Mrs. Beeson greeted guests wearing a muted green silk shantung sneath, with matching shoes and bag, beige hat and gloves. Mrs. Durnin. mother of the bridegroom, selected a pink embroidered dress with bone accessories. Both mothers accented their costumes with purple orchids.
Arrangements of white spring flowers were noted at vantage points throughout the home. The bride's circular table was covered with white organdy and tulle and was centered with a four-tiered wedding cake.
In House Party
Included in the house party were Mrs. Marvin I. Hebert, Mrs. L. K. Tinney, Mrs. Ambrose Sullivan. Mrs. Lee Shillings. Mrs. Joe W. Impson, Mrs. Willie Aime, Mrs. Harry Jackson and Miss Carolyn Owens. Serving as tea girls and distributing rice bags were Misses Patricia Jackson and Carol Jean Ballard.
For traveling, Mrs. Durnin chose a yellow and white sheath dress, a cloche of white milan straw, white shoes, bag and gloves. Her corsage was white roses.
Following the reception the couple left for an undisclosed destination. Upon their return they will reside in Denham Springs.
The bride is a graduate of Denham Springs High School and is presently employed with the Lou [article ends]
