DIETTEL FINAL RITES PLANNED
Electrician Dies After Long Illness
Masonic funeral services for Otto Frederick Diettel, a local electrician, will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Tharp - Sontheimer - Tharp Funeral Home, 4127 S. Claiborne Ave.
Religious services will be conducted by Mount Moriah Lodge No. 59 and Rose Croix services by the Grand Consistory of Louisiana. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Mausoleum.
Mr. Diettel died at his residence Sunday night after a lengthy illness. He was 58.
A native of Bay St. Louis, Miss., Mr. Diettel worked in New Orleans as an electrician for 25 years with the Walter J. Barnes Electrical Co.
He was well-known in the electrical construction field and was past master of the Triangle Chapter of Electrical Craftsmen, No. 73.
Mr. Diettel was also a member and on the director's staff of Jerusalem Temple and a member of Mount Moriah Lodge.
He was also active in the Veterans of Foreign War Drum and Bugle Corps.
Mr. Diettel is survived by his widow, the former Miss Claud Lee Catoire; a son, Otto F. Diettel Jr. of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Floyd C. Diettel of Pensacola, Fla., and Rudolph L. Diettel of New Orleans; and three grandchildren.

Services from The Home of Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 4127 S, Claiborne (parking entrance adjoining) on Tuesday afternoon, May 11, 1971, at 2 o'clock. Interment in Lake Lawn Park.
