George J. Hayes is the 22 year old white male head of household, who rents his home for $9 a month. Born in Illinois, his parents in the US, he works as a laborer in odd jobs, and is not a veteran. His wife, 19 year old Myrtle M. Hayes, was born in Illinois, as were her parents. Age at 1st marriage was 21 for George, 18 for Myrtle.

Archie E. Hayes is the 64 year old white male head of household, born in Ohio, who owns his home, not on a farm. He and his family lived in this same house in 1935. Educated through 7th grade, Archie is a drayman in the freight industry, working 36 hours the last week of March. His wife, 58 year old Mary J. Hayes, was born in Illinois, and finished 7th grade. Mary is a laundress "at house," of her own account and worked 72 hours the last week of March, and in 36 weeks of work in 1939 had no wages, but other income over $50.
Living with Archie and Jane is their son and his wife: George J. Hayes, was born in Illinois, educated through 8th grade, is a truck driver in the trucking industry, worked of his own account 36 weeks in 1939, earning no wages, but other income over $50. His wife is 29 year old Myrtle M. Hayes, born in Illinois, educated through 4 years of high school, a housewife.

PIPER CITY \emdash Myrtle M. Johnson, 83. of Piper City died at 9:38 a.m. Monday (July 4, 1994) at Praiirieview Lutheran Home, Danforth, where she was residing.
Private graveside rites will be Wednesday at Brenton Cemetery, Piper City.
There will be no visitation. Reilly-Redenious Funeral Home, Piper City, is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Johnson was born Oct. 16, 1910, at Thawvllle, a daughter of Lewis and Dora R. Shaw Diercouff.
She married George J. Hayes Jan. 19,1929. He died May 5, 1949. She then married Dale Johnson Oct. 16, 1950. He died Jan. 20, 1975.
Survivors include two sons. Michael Hayes. Piper City, and Gary Johnson, Bradley; three daughters.
Mary L. Fuller, Columbus, Ohio; Donna Rummens, Fargo. N.D.; and Karen Smith, Champalgn; and one
sister, Fern Fuoss, Thawville.
Memorials may be made to Prairieview Lutheran Home, Danforth.
