ETTER - Dora Mae Etter, daughter of Joseph and Mary Dicks, was born in Monroe County, Iowa on Jan. 9, 1868, and passed away at the McCord Rest Haven, at the age of 101 years, one month and three days on Feb. 12, 1969.

On August 11, 1889, she was united in marriage to Isaac Franklin Etter. To this union four sons and three daughters were born. At an early age she accepted her Lord as her Saviour and was united with the Evangelist Church and later with the Holyness.

Her husband and five children, Alma, John, Fred, Laurence and an infant daughter preceded her in death. She leaves her son, Asa of Chariton, and her daughter, Maude Keenan of Rogers, Ark., along with one half-sister, Leota Taylor of Russell, 31 grandchildren, 79 great-grandchildren, and 30 great-great-grandchilren and many friends.

Funeral services were conducted Feb 14, 1969 at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Neiman officiating. Interment was at the Bethel Cemetery.
