MRS. FREELAND FUNERAL TODAY
Funeral services for Mrs. Stella Generes Freeland, 81, of 6624 Canal blvd., will be held Saturday at 2 p. m. in Crowley. Interment will be in Old Crowley cemetery.
Mrs. Freeland died Friday at 6 a. m. at her residence after an illness of about a year. Her body will be sent from the House of Bultman to Crowley at 9 a. m. Saturday.
Mrs. Freeland was the widow of the late Thomas Barton Freeland, who was active in banking circles in South Louisiana and who had extensive holdings of rice and oil lands in the state.
Mr. Freeland had been president and founder of the American Rice Mills, vice-president of the First National Bank of Crowley and president of the Canal irrigation Company of Crowley.
Mrs. Freeland, a native of New Orleans, traveled extensively and maintained a residence in Crowley.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Olga Generes Rovira of New Orleans.

FREELAND -- On Friday morning, June 6, 1958, at 6 o'clock. STELLA GENERES, wife of the late Thomas B. Freeland, sister of Olga Generes Rovira and the late Floval and George Generes, Mrs. Blanche Generes Antonini, Mrs. Helen Generes Derbes and Mrs. Elise Generes Derbes.
Relatives and friends of the family may call to pay their respects at the House of Bultman, St. Charles Ave. at Louisiana Ave., after 6 o'clock p. m. Friday, June 6, 1958.
The body will be taken to the First Presbyterian church, Crowley, La., for service at 2 o'clock p. m. on Saturday, June 7, 1958.
Interment in Old Crowley cemetery.
