VINCENT D'ANTONI DIES AT HOME HERE
Was Junior Member of Firm of Vaccaro Bros. & Co., Fruit Importers.
Vincent D'Antoni, 34 years old, junior member of the firm of Vaccaro Bros. & Co., died Tuesday afternoon of a cardiac attack, induced by influenza.
The death of Mr. D'Antoni follows closely upon that of his relative, Paul Havener, who died of the prevailing disease two weeks ago. Less than two years ago on the same day they married daughters of Joseph Vaccaro, the senior member of the fruit company. Mr. D'Antoni practically built up the business of Vaccaro Bros. in the tropics, being in charge of its extensive interests amounting to millions of dollars. He entered the employment of the firm when sixteen years of age, and grew up with the business, seeing its expansion until its employees numbered thousands, whereas there were not a score when he entered the business.
Though he had not attained two score years when he died, Mr. D'Antoni had reached a conspicuous place in the business life of the community, and his future gave the most brilliant promise. He had been the close and confidential adviser of every president of Honduras for a decade, and wielded great influence in that republic. He was particularly active in soliciting for the Red Cross in Ceiba, Spanish Honduras, and in obtaining subscriptions to the Liberty Loan.
Mr. D'Antoni is survived by his wife, who was Miss Philmena Vaccaro, and by one child. The funeral will be held from his late residence, 1516 Robert street, Wednesday afternoon at 8 o'clock.

Filomena to Become Mrs. Dantoni and Anna, Mrs. Havener
Miss Filomena Vaccaro and Miss Anna Vaccaro, daughters of Joseph Vaccaro, of Vaccaro Brothers and company, steamship men, are to be brides at a double wedding in St. Mary's church within the next two days. Miss Filomena Vaccaro will become Mrs. Vincent A. Dantoni and Miss Anna Vaccaro will be Mrs. Paul Havener.
Licenses were taken out just before noon Thursday at city hall. Monzo Woodville and Felix Vaccaro accompanied the prospective Bridegrooms and signed the licenses.
"The wedding is to be particularly private," one of the Vaccaro brothers announced over the telephone just before the Item's first edition goes to press. "We don't care to make any public announcement and, in as much as the father of the sisters is out of town, none of the other relatives care to specify exactly when the wedding will take place."
