Lena Daigrepont Rabalais, a homemaker, died Monday at her daughter's home. She was 80. Mrs. Rabalais was born in Echo and lived in Marksville, New Orleans and, for the past 35 years, in Metairie. She was a graduate of 5th Ward High School, Soule Business College and Moler's Beauty College. She worked as a secretary for the Army during World War II and was a former court stenographer for Avoyelles Parish. She was a former member and officer of the Metairie Ridge Garden Club and parishioner of St. Louis King of France Catholic Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Jane Rabalais Roberts and Rose Rabalais Capretto; a brother, Albert Daigrepont Jr.; and five grandchildren.
A Mass will be said today at 1 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be in All Saints Mausoleum.
