Rose Mary A. Benitez passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rasheed and Mary Abide and by her siblings, Adele Joseph, Matilda Shibley, Hannah Nolan, Ellis R. Abide, Amelia Prats, and A.J. Abide.
She is survived by her son, Raphael A. Benitez III and his wife Tara UnKauf Benitez and brother in law, Albert A. Prats and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Pius X, Msgr. Doskey Monument foundation.
A Funeral Mass was held at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, on Monday, August 12, 2013. Interment followed in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
