COUPLE OBSERVES GOLDEN WEDDING
In observance of their golden wedding anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. George Price Crane, 7307 Burthe street, Tuesday renewed their marriage vows in rites at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus at which two of their sons officiated.
The Rev. Harry L. Crane, S. J., Cleveland, Ohio, was celebrant of a solemn high mass sung for the observance, and another son, the Rev. Hilton Crane, S. J., was deacon. The Rev. Thomas Atherton, S. J., was subdeacon, and the Rev. Murphy Ross, S. J., was master of ceremonies.
From 7 to 9 p. m. a reception for friends and relatives was held at the family home. Mr. and Mrs. Crane were married 50 years ago in St. Patrick's church. Other sons and daughters are Mrs. Hugh Burton of Cobina, Cal., and Mrs. E. T. DeRussy, Miss Marjorie Crane, M. Judson Crane, George E. Crane and Edmund H. Crane, all of New Orleans.

CRANE -- On Wednesday, March 21, 1956, at 6:30 o'clock a. m., GEORGE EDMUND CRANE, beloved husband of Mary Gretchen Thayer; father of Raymond T. Crane of Mobile, Ala., Mrs. Kirby J. Lindsley of Houston, Tex., Mrs. George V. Werner, George E. Jr., Betty and Robert Crane; son of Antonia Murphy and the late George P. Crane; brother of Mrs. Katheryn DeRussy, Judson, Marjorie, Edmund, Hilton and the Rev. Harry L. Crane, S. J., and Mrs. Hugh Burton of Tulare, Calif.; also survived by 18 grandchildren; in his 63rd year; a native of Ocean Springs, Miss., and a resident of Metairie, La., for the past seven years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, March 22, 1956, at 9 o'clock a. m., from the auxillary funeral home of Jacob Schoen and Son, Inc., 3827 Canal street at North Scott, with Requiem Mass at St. Catherine of Siena church.
Interment in St. Patrick No. 2 cemetery.

RITES FOR CRANE PLANNED TODAY
Dupont Co-Manager Here Dies Suddenly
Funeral services for George E. Crane Sr., comanager of Francis I. duPont and Company, will be conducted Thursday at 9 a. m. from Jacob Schoen and Sons, Inc., 3827 Canal. Requiem mass will follow at 9:30 a. m. at St. Catherine of Siena church in Metairie. Interment will be in St. Patrick's No. 2 cemetery.
Mr. Crane, a native of New Orleans, who resided at 211 Metairie Heights, died suddenly Wednesday morning at his home. He was 62.
He was actively engaged in the stock and bond brokerage business since serving in World War I. He attended the Jesuit college of the Immaculate Conception, and he was a member of the Holy Name Society.
The mass Thursday morning will be celebrated by a brother, the Very Rev. Harry L. Crane, S.J., president of Jesuit High School
He is also survived by his widow, the former Gretchen Thayer; three daughters, Miss Betty Crane and Mrs. Georger V. Werner, both of New Orleans, and Mrs. Kirby J. Lindsley, of Bellaire Tex.; three sons, George E. Crane Jr. and Robert H., both of New Orleans, and Raymond T., of Mobile; his mother, Mrs. George Price Crane; three other brothers; three sisters, and 18 grandchildren.
