"l have fought the good fiight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7. William "Bushie" Aaron, 70, passed away peacefully at home on Sundag, June 18, 2017. He is survived: by his wife of 47 years, Linda Stilley Aaron; his son William "Billy 'Aarori, Jr., arid wife Shannon; his daughter Jennifer Aaron Hataway. He is also survived-by his brother John M. Aaron. Jr.and wife Janette; his sister-in-law Pat Stilley Romero and husband Johnie; his brother-in-law Michael Stilley and wife Debbie. He is preceded in death by his father John Millican Aaron. Sr,, and his mother Ellen Rae Young Aaron. Bushie was born on Ootober 6, 1946. in Natchitoches, Louisiana. After graduating from Natchitoches High School in 1964, he moved to Baton Rouge where he attended LSU, pledged Sigma Alpha Epsilon. and earned a Juris Doctorate from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1969. He has been a practicing attorney and member of the Louisiana Bar Association since then. Throughout his career and until his passnng, he maintained a private law practice. He also served as a Senior Special Assistant Parish Attorney for EBRP
for over 20 years. He was an active member of the Central community in which he worked and resided. He was a faithful member of Zoar Baptist Church and Mike Howell's Sunday school class. He loved attending LSU basketball games, fishing in his take, eating turtle soup at Stab's, joking with his friends, reading. and doing crossword puzzles. He was a generous man who quietly helped others whenever he could. ' He consIdered his greatest accomplishments to be his marriage to his beautiful wife and his children who he tried, unsuccessfully, to convince to go to dental school. but they become attorneys instead. Above all. he loved Jesus, his family and his precious dog Lucy. Visitation will be held at Zoar Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 21, from 9:00 a.m. until the memorial service at 12:00 p.m. to be conducted by Reverend Dennis McAnally and Dr. Kevin Hand. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Wes Hataway, Will Aaron, Johnie Romero, Hunter Briley, Mike Stillely, Joe Stilley, John M, Aaron III, and Eric Cloud. In lieu of
flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the chanty of your choice.
