Note: Found in Second Regiment Kansas Volunteer roster a Josiah Connelly, residing in LeRoy,(Coffey County) Kansas. Enlisted 8/25/1862; died of disease at Fort Scott, Kansas 4/7/1863. This could be the correct Josiah; he was the nephew of Demiah Connelly, whose son Jacob Carothers lived in Coffey County, Kansas at the time.
