GEORGE W. CONNELY ACCIDENTLY KILLED
While working at his duties as car oiler and light repair man, George W. Connely was caught between two car couplers and instantly killed, Thursday night, Feb. 5, in the north yards at Parsons, Kas.
His children were called from the four corners of Oklahoma to-pay their last respects to their father and
comfort the bereaved mother. The-eldest, Bern from Welch, Charles from Bartlesville, Roscoe from Oklahoma City Herbert from Atoka, Clara from Pittsburg and Herald living in Parsons, Roy having been put to rest in Idaho adout six years ago
George W. Connley was born in Wise county, Texas, Oct. 1858. His parents soon moved to Illinois where he grew to manhood and married Miss Laura Gable. Five boys were born to them. She died April 23rd 1892. He then moved to Missouri with his boys and later married Miss Anna Cheatham. two boys and one girl being born to them. In 1896 he moved to Indian Territory and has many friends in and near Narcissa, Miami, Bluejacket and Welch. He moved to Kansas seventeen years ago and just four months ago moved to Parsons 1414 east Stephens, from which place the funeral was conducted and interment
was made in Oakwood cemetery.
