He can read and write, and is employed as a foreman mechanic at a railroad yard. He was born in Illinois, and his parents were born in Ohio. His wife, Edith, is 31, can read and write, was born in Illinois as were her parents. Living with them are a son and daughter, Charles W. is 3 years 1 month old, and Nelda is 8 years old and attends school. (Nelda is Edith's child from another marriage)

Bill Connelly Killed in Crash
William (Bill) Connelly, son of James L. (Pop) Connelly, of Pilot Knob, was killed Tuesday in a head-on automobile collision on Highway 47, one mile north of Marthasville, Mo. A woman passenger in the second car was also killed.
Connelly was the brother of Mrs. Lillian Moses of Pilot Knob and lived in Sullivan, Mo.
He was en route to Kansas City when his automobile topped a rise on the wet, slick highway and was confronted by a slow moving tractor. Connelly, swerving to avoid the farm vehicle, crashed into the other car killing Mrs. Ralph Zumbehl, of Middletown, Mo. The woman's husband was also injured and taken to St. Francis Hospital in Washington, Mo.
Bill Connelly moved with his parents to the Arcadia Valley in 1926, attending grade school here and graduating from high school in 1934. After working for the Beck and Corbett Company in Cape Girardeau, he entered service in 1944.
Since being discharged at the end of the war, he had been employed by the OTC Tool Company as a sales representative, first at Illmo; and then at Sullivan. He was en route to call on Kansas City customers when the accident occured.
Other survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Connelly; a son, Bill, Jr.; another sister, Mrs, Nelda Rzepka, of Chicago; a brother, James Connelly, Jr., of New Orleans; and three stepchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled tomorrow (Friday) at Sullivan.

Charles William Connelly was born 9/23/1916 in East St. Louis, Illinois to his father James L. Connelly, and his mother Edith Gain. He resided at R.R. #2 in Sullivan, Franklin, Missouri, and died on 4/4/1967 in Charrette Twsp., a mile west of Marthasville, Mo., in Warren County, MIssouri. A white male tools saleman, he was married to Dorothea Hamm Connelly, the informant. He served in WWII and his SSN was 494-07-8471. No autopsy was performed, but he died of a broken neck due to a head-on car collision. It is planed that he is to be buried 4/7/1967 in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Sullivan, Missouri.
