WALTER -- BYRD
A very prettily arranged wedding took place at the home of Mrs. Ann C. Walter, in Fern Street, on Wednesday, Oct. 2. The contracting parties were Miss Hilda J. Walter and Mr. Hunter Byrd, of Biloxi, Miss. The decorations were very elaborate and lovely, being carried out in pink and green, with great quantities of palms and ferns. At one end of the hall a beautiful arch of palms and flowers was arranged, under which the bridal couple stood during the impressive ceremony which was performed by Dr. J. P. Quinius. The wedding march was played by Mrs. A. Cevion as the bridal party came down the stairway. It was led by Miss Nita Walter, the bride's sister and only attendant, the bride following, accompanied by her uncle, Mr. George Fehl. Mr. Fred Lambert, prominent in business circles in this city, acted as best man. The bride looked lovely in a rich gown of chartreuse and lace. She wore a veil of illusion, caught with a spray of orange blossoms, and carried a shower bouquet of bride roses and fern tied with white tulle. The maid of honor, Miss Nita Walter wore an extremely pretty gown of crepe de chine and lace, and carried a bouquet of bride roses tied with pink tulle. A reception followed the ceremony, after which the young couple, followed by a shower of congratulations, left for their future home in Biloxi, Miss. Mr. and Mrs. Byrd were the recipients of many handsome presents.
