RITES MONDAY FOR MRS. CLARA SIMONSON
Services for Mrs. Clara Wamsley Simonson, 80, widow of Albert Simonson, were held at the Lutz funeral home, Harrison, Monday at 2:30 p. m. Interment was in Glen Haven cemetery. Mrs. Simonson, who lived for many years in Harrison, passed away Thursday, May 27.
She leaves three daughters, Mrs Helen Newhouse of the Elizabethtown-Harrison Road, Mrs. Ava Van Treese and Mrs. Antoinette Acra,.both of Harrison and three sons, Charles Simonson, Yorktown, and George and Barney, both of Elizabethtown and a sister in New York. Another sister was Mrs. Anna Mc
Kinney of Lawrenceburg, who preceded her in death several year ago.

Obituary CLARA KETURAH SIMONSON
Clara Keturah Simonson (nee Wamsley) one of nine children of Anderson and Mary L. Wamsley, was born at Elizabethtown, O., Nov. 12, 1874. She was united in marriage to Albert Simonson, Oct. 6. 1894 to which were born seven children, Charles Simonson, Yorktown, Ind.;
George Simonson, North Bend, 0.; Helen Newhouse, Ava Van Treese, Antoinette Acra, all of Harrison and Barney Simonson, North Bend, O., A daughter Lola passed on Aug. 16, 1921; a granddaughter, Dorothea Simonson Foster also preceded her in death as did her husband, who
passed on April 17, 1912.
Her home had been near North Bend, O., until recent years when illness caused her to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. James Acra in Harrison. She seemed to be recovering somewhat from her serious illness when she passed on, May 27, 1954, age 79 years. 6 months
and 15 days.
Her friendly kindness and goodness caused her to be known as Mom or granny, or of late, Great Grandma. She was a life-long resident of the Elizabethtown community and a member of the Presbyterian church there, later becoming active in the Methodist church when her church became inactive. Only her infirmities prevented her from active church participation.
_ She leaves to mourn her passing one sister. Tycie Fullen, New York City; three daughters and three sons; nine grandchildren: ten great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Rev. Joseph F. Quick, pastor of the St. John's Evangelical Congregational church, officiated at memorial services at the Lutz funeral home Monday, May 31, 1954. Interment at Glen Haven cemetery, Harrison.
