Victor "Vic" M. Ward of Tolar, a civil service employee, died Monday, August 23, 1999.. He was 85.
Mr. Ward was born August 24, 1913 in Coffee County, Kan. He retired after 21 years of Civil Service in 1978 and was a member of Tularosa Lodge A.F. & AM. #49, Los Cruces Scottish Rite, Ballut Abyad Shrine of Albuquerque, NM, Alamo Chapter #11 DES, and Tolar United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Bonny Ward of Tolar; three sons, Victor W. Ward of St. Paul, Minn, Calvin Ward of Clarksville, Ark. and Joseph M. Ward of Tolar; two daughters, Carmen Oliver of San Benito and
Carolyn Ward of Pharr; three grandchildren; and one sister, Virginia Hammond of Burlington, Kan.
His body was donated to the Southwestern Medical School of Dallas, Texas and cremation will be by Southwestern Medical.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Scottish Rite Children's Hospital or to your favorite charity.
