MRS. R. A. VAN TREESE
ST. CATHERINE CHURCH was the setting for the marriage at noon July 19 of Miss Ellen Joyce Hoffman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hoffman of Westwood, to Mr. Richard A. Van Treese. Msgr. Walter A. Roddy officiated. The ceremony was followed by a reception at the home of the bride's parents. A later reception was held at Alpine Inn.
The bride had her sister-in-law, Mrs. Gerald L. Hoffman, as matron of honor. Mrs. W. Mark Hoffman of Springfield, Ohio, also a sister-in-law of the bride, and Miss Martha Haney of Covington, Ky., were the bride's other attendants.
Mr. Van Treese, who is a son of Mrs. Ava Van Treese of Harrison, Ohio, and the late Mr. Verle Van Treese, had Mr. Clayton Myers as his best man. The ushers were Messrs. W. Mark Hoffman, brother of the bride, and Harry J. Van Treese, brother of the bridegroom.
Mr. and Mrs. Van Treese visited the South on their honeymoon. They are residing in Westwood.
