Linious R. Swift
Funeral services for Linious R. Swift were held in Greendale cemetery at 2 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. W. E. Fisher, pastor of the M. E. Church, Aurora. Mr. Swift died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Hayes, Newscastle, on Monday morning, of heart failure. He leaves a widow and four children to mourn their loss. The children are Mrs. Charles Hayes of Newcastle, Mrs. Bonard Dam, Lawrenceburg, Mr. Isaac Swift, Aurora, and Mr. John Swift, Washington.
Mr. Swift's birth place was near Aurora on the Rising Sun road, seventy-seven years ago in May. After serving in the 52nd Indiana Infantry he settled in Lawrericeburg, where he remained as citizen many years. His wife was Miss Ida Hayes. For a number of years Mr. Swift conducted a merchandise business on Walnut street and also farmed.
