JEWETT-SEALE
Miss Kathleen Jewett, of Lafayette, and Sergeant Joseph J. Seale, of Fairmount, were united in marriage at the First Methodist church parsonage, West Lafayette, Thursday afternoon at 5 o'clock, Dr. Otto Scott Steele officiating. Lieut. H. S. Jewett, West Lafayette, brother of the bride, was best man, and Mrs. H. S. Jewett was matron of honor.
The bride is a 1938 graduate of Purdue, and the bridegroom was graduated from Purdue in 1939. The bride formerly taught in Morton school, and the bridegroom was instructor in industrial arts in junior high school of West Lafayette from 1939 to 1942, when he went to service. He is now instructor at Kingman air field of the U. S. army, in Arizona. The couple will make their home in Arizona.

Well Known Couple Married Thursday at Fairmount
Miss Kathleen Jewett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jewett Jr., former Menticello and Chalmers residents, was united in marriage to Sergeant Joseph J. Seale of Fairmount, the wedding taking place at the parsonage of the First Methodist church Thursday afternoon at 5 o'clock. Dr. Otto Scott Steele officiated. The attendants were the bride's brother and wife, Lieut. and Mrs. Hale S. Jewett.
The bride is a graduate of Monticello high school and of Purdue 1938, and the bridegroom was graduated from Purdue in 1939. The bride taught at Morton school and the bridegroom was industrial arts instructor in the Junior high school
in West Lafayette from 1939 to 1942 when he left for the service. He is now instructor in the United States Army at the Kingman Air Base in Arizona where the young couple will make their home.
The bride is a granddaughter of Mrs. Robert Jewett Sr., who formerly resided on Railroad street in Monticello, and where she first made her home when a child.

Age 89 of Merrillville, passed away Tuesday Aug. 27, 2002. Member of Society of Friends. He taught Industrial Arts for 41 years in West Lafayette, Cambridge City, Crown Point & East Chicago. A Master Gardener for many years, 3 1/2 year veteran of The Army Air Corps, Joe served 16 months in China-India-Berma Theater as a B-24 Crewman. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Kathleen Seale of Merrillville, son, John (Judy) Seale of Merrillville, 3 daughters, Ruth Ann (Walter) Bennett of Walton, IN, Jane (Robert) Megquier of Chicago, IL, Kerry (Martin) Sher of Okinawa, Japan; 11 grandchildren. Friends may call at Burns Funeral Home, corner of 101st & Broadway, Merrillville/Crown Point, Friday Aug. 30, 2-6 p.m. Private memorial service will be held for the immediate family. Memorial contributions to the Parkinson's Foundation or American Heart Assoc.
