Head of household at 1244 Clouet St, New Orleans, LA on 6/5 or 6/6/1900 is Christy (Christian) Silbernagel, a 29 year old white male, born December 1870 in Louisiana. He owns his home, is employed as a grocer, and though his parents were born in Germany, he speaks English and can read and write.
Living with him is his mother-in-law, Lena Zimmer, a 63 year old woman born February 1837, in Germany where her parents were also born. She emigrated to the US in 1853, and speaks English and can read and write.
Children in the house are:
Son - Philip, 11 years old, born January 1889 in Louisiana, is attending school.
Son - Matthew, 9 years old, born December 1890 in Louisiana.
Daughter - Mary, 7 years old, born March 1893 in Louisiana.

SILBERNAGEL - On Saturday, Oct. 15, 1898, at 5 o'clock a. m., MARY P. ZIMMER, beloved wife of Christ Silbernagel, aged 26 years, a native of New Orleans.
The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, which will take place This (Sunday) Evening, Oct. 16, 1898, at 4 o'clock, from the late residence of the deceased, 1238 Clouet street, between Urquhart and Marais streets.

This could be related to the birth of her child 2 days before.
