Living with them is 34 year old single son John H. Wonderlin, born in Illinois, also a farmer on a general farm , partnered with his father. John is a veteran of the World War. Also at home is married daughter Olive L. Kennedy, age 24, born in Illinois, married at age 19. Her daughter, Ernest's granddaughter, is 4 year 9 month old Donna Mae Kennedy, born in Illinois, as were her parents.

Ernest E. Wonderlin, 69, a prominent farmer and well known citizen who had spent his life on the farm a short distance southeast of Colfax, died at 10:45 p.m. September 1, in Brokaw hospital, Normal, where he had been poor for some time previous to his death, his complaint being heart disease.
He was born near Colfax March 10, 1869, and lived his entire life in this vicinity. He was the son of John and Phoebe Wonderlin. Sept. 3, 1891, he was married to Olive Mae McClure of Colfax.
He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and the Modern Woodman of America.
Surviving with the widow are the following children: Mrs. S. J. Yanney and Homer, of Heyworth; Harold and Lorene at home. These brothers and sisters survive: C. E. Wonderlin, Bloomington; C. H. Fowler, Lancing, Mich.; Owen Fowler, Orville, Ohio; Mrs. Lourinda Grimsley, Pittsburgh, Pa., and Mrs. D. L. Hamilton, Colfax.
The funeral services were helf from the Methodist Episcopal church Sunday, Rev. Van Horn, a former Colfax minister officiating, assisted by Rev. Crede. The interment was in the Wiley cemetery.
