August "Gus" Woliung Jr., 87, of Lawrenceburg, IN, passed away June 16, 2015 in Dillsboro, IN.

He was born Tuesday, September 27, 1927 in Ripley County, IN, Son of the late August Woliung Sr. and the late Eslona Howard Woliung.

He served his Country as a member of the United States Army during WWII. Gus worked in Production for Seagram's Distillery, retiring after over 45 years of service. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church Bellaire, Scottish Rite 32nd Degree, Mason Lawrenceburg Lodge #4 and Lawrenceburg American Legion.

Surviving are Sons: Gerald Wayne (Debbie) Woliung of Moores Hill, IN, Alvin Dale Woliung of Versailles, IN, Virgil Ray (Peggy)Woliung of Milan, IN & Robert M. (Ludgardis)Woliung of Lawrenceburg, IN; Daughter, Sheila Kay (Steve) Garlinghouse of Madison, IN; Sisters, Betty Hunt of Aurora, IN & Barbara Jean Disbro of Rising Sun, IN; 14 Grandchildren & Several Great Grandchildren .

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of almost 66 years, Ruby Jean Woliung.

Friends will be received 12:00 Noon - 2:00 pm on Friday, June 19, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church Bellaire, 4937 St. Rd.#48. Services will follow at the Church at 2:00 pm with Pastor Matthew Voyer officiating. Masonic services will be held during visitation.

Interment will follow in the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery. Military graveside services will be conducted by members of local Veterans Service Organizations.

Contributions may be made to the St. John Lutheran Church, Local Life Squad, American Diabetes Assoc. or American Heart Association. Please call the funeral home office at (812) 926-1450 and we will notify the family of your donation with a card.
