MENDEL WAS THE VICTIM
Last Tuesday night Lawrence Mendel and his father-in-law, John Wingerter, had some trouble at their residence, No. 2364 St. Thomas street, during which Wingerter stabbed Mendel in the left side, inflicting a slight wound. A friend named Frank Roth, who tried to separate the men, also came in for a stab in the left wrist, inflicted by Wingerter. It was reported that Mendel had done the stabbing, which was wrong.
