Albert Boyd is the 71 year old white male head of household, who rents his home and was born in Indiana, his parents in Kentucky. He works in labour by day, unemployed 20 weeks in 1909, and on April 15 of this year. His wife, 73 year old Hannah Boyd, was born in England, as were her parents. It is the first marriage for both, 49 years. Hannah immigrated to the US in 1845, and has had 4 children, all still living. Living with them is their 33 year old son, Daniel Boyd, still single, born in Indiana, working as an engineer in steam shovels, unemployed 16 weeks in 1939, but employed April 15 of this year.
