Living with the family is 36 year old Agatha Ritter, born in Wurtenburg. The census report indicates she has married within the year. No relationships were listed in the 1860 census, but she is of an age to possibly be a sister to Catherine.

All the children were born in Louisiana.

In addition they had 4 children Wilhemina Diettel 1881 to 1945, Albert Hans Diettel 1882-?, Frederick Albert Diettel 1883-1886, and Albert Joseph Diettel 1887-1889. The daughter's Birth is in N.O. Records of births Vol.77 p.418.; N.O. Record of deaths Vol.221 p.1477.

DIETTEL -- On Saturday, April 17, 1909, at 8:30 o'clock a.m., WHILHELMINA WALTER, beloved wife of Albert Diettel, aged 56 years, a native of New Orleans, La.

The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon, April 18, at 3 o'clock from the late residence, No. 523 Josephine Street.
