John swears he resides in the US in New Orleans, Louisiana, and his occupation is Manager of Vaccaro Bros, and need a temporary permission to go abroad for less than a year to visit the Republic of Honduras for employment and business, sailing aboard the ????? Vaccaro Bros Co as soon as possible. Sworn on September 5th, 1917.

Page 3 is a letter from Felix P. Vaccaro, Secy-Treas of Vaccaro Bros & Company to Mr. H.J. Carter, Clerk of US District Court in New Orleans. The letterhead identifies Vaccaro Brother & Co. as importers of Bananas & Cocoanuts, business address Queen and Crescent Building, New Orleans. In the letter Felix certifies that Mr. John Vaccaro is the son of the President of this company, and is returning to Ceibu, Honduras to resume his position as assistant manager, after having spent a short vacation in the country. He is employed on a salary basis.

On the first page, John Vaccaro swears he was born in New Orleans the 4th day of September 1882, and that his father, Joseph Vaccaro, was born in Contessa, Entallina, Italy, emmigrated to the US from the port or Palermo, Italy, lives in New Orleans, and has lived continually in the US for 50 years, from 1867 to 1918. Joseph was naturalized as a citizen of the US in Civil District Court, Orleans, New Orleans in 1890. John's permanent residence is New Orleans, Louisiana, where his occupation is Asst. Mgr. for Vaccaro Bros & Co. His last passport, issued by Dept of State in Washington, was cancelled in March 1918, and he now needs a new one to temporarily visit Spanish Honduras for employment, to return to the US within six months. His departure port will be New Orleans, LA aboard the S. S. Ceiba on January 15, 1919. He swears an oath of allegience to the Constitution of the US on December 30, 1918.

The letterhead identifies Vaccaro Brothers & Co. as importers of Bananas & Cocoanuts, business address Queen and Crescent Building, New Orleans. In the letter Felix certifies that Mr. John Vaccaro is the employed as Assistant Manager of our Honduras Division, on salary basis, and it is necessary for him to return to Honduras and resume his duties as such, after having spent a vacation, combined with business, in the United States.

The letterhead identifies Vaccaro Brothers & Co. as importers of Bananas & Cocoanuts, business address Queen and Crescent Building, New Orleans. In the letter Felix certifies that Mr. John Vaccaro is employed by us as Asst. Mgr. of our Honduras Division and that he is making the present trip to Honduras in that capacity.

Retired Ship Line Official Dies at 80
Private funeral services for John Vaccaro, retired vice-president of the Standard Fruit and Steamship Company, were conducted Monday morning from the House of Bultman, 3338 St. Charles.
A requiem Mass was said at St. Stephen's church, Napoleon ave. and Camp st. Interment was in Metairie cemetery.
Mr. Vaccaro, who was 80, died at 10:30 a. m. Sunday in his residence, 5010 St. Charles ave., after a lengthy illness.
A native of New Orleans, Mr. Vaccaro was the son of Joseph Vaccaro, a founder of Vaccaro Brothers Company, which later changed its name to Standard Fruit and Steamship Company.
Mr. Vaccaro was one of the founders of the Jefferson Lake Sulphur Co. At the time of his retirement 10 years ago, he had served on the board of directors of both companies. He was president of the sulphur company and vice-president of the fruit and steamship company.
Pallbearers were Walter D. Stella Jr., Albert Prats, Joseph L. Vaccaro, Harry E. Hoth, John G. Brennan and Sam Carollo.
Survivors include the widow, the former Miss Ida Prats: a brother, Felix Vaccaro, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary V. D'Antoni, Mrs. Annie V. Havener and Mrs. Mena V. Lally

VACCARO -- On Sunday morning, October 28, 1962, at 10:30 o'clock, JOHN VACCARO, husband of Ida Prats, brother of Mrs. Mary V. D'Antoni, Mrs. Annie V. Havener, Mrs. Mena V. Lally, Felix Vaccaro and the late Steve, Lucas J. and Joseph Vaccaro Jr.
Private funeral took place at the House of Bultman, St. Charles ave. at Louisiana ave., Monday morning, October 29, 1962, at 10:30 o'clock.
Requiem Mass at St. Stephen's church, Napoleon avenue at Camp street.
Interment in Metairie cemetery.

His parents were Joseph (Guisepi) Vaccaro of Italy and Antonina Mustacchia of Italy.
He is to buried in Metairie Cemetery, New Orleans, La.
