Laurie M. Tetlow passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at the age of 52. She was born on August 12, 1963, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Lucy M. Bruno Tetlow and John L. Tetlow. Laurie attended St. Joseph Academy and graduated from Riverdale High School class of 1981. She was pursuing a degree at Delgado Community College. Laurie had previously been employed as a dispatcher for the Kenner Police Department. She enjoyed bowling, darts and horseback riding. Her family will miss her holiday desserts, especially her cheesecakes.
Laurie is preceded in death by her father; her maternal grandparents, Martin (Tony) and Lucy Cecilia (Celie) Lentz Bruno; her paternal grandparents, Joseph Allen and Mercedes Mullen Tetlow. She is survived by her mother, Lucy Bruno Tetlow; her sister Lisa Maria Tetlow; her brother John Lomas Tetlow, Jr and his wife, Renee; her nephew, Matthew Lomas Tetlow; her godchild, Martin (Tony) Bruno, III; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Friday, November 13, 2015; at 12:00 p.m. Inurnment will follow in St. Louis #3 Cemetery.
