Ruby Jean Woliung, 84, of Moores Hill, Ind., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, in Lawrenceburg, Ind. She was born Monday, Feb. 10, 1930, in Lawrenceburg, Ind., daughter of the late Carl Swango and the late Irene Parker Swango. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church Bellaire) and Eastern Star. Ruby worked at Schenley Distillery in her younger years. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She always wanted to make sure that the family was well taken care of.
Surviving are her husband of almost 66 years, August "Gus" Woliung Jr. and children, Gerald Wayne (Debbie) Woliung of Moores Hill, Ind., Alvin Dale Woliung of Moores Hill, Ind., Virgil Ray (Peggie) Woliung of Milan, Ind., Robert M.(Ludgardis) Woliung of Lawrenceburg, Ind., Sheila Kay (Steve) Garlinghouse of Madison, Ind.; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Lloyd W (Sue) Swango of Lawrenceburg, Ind.; sisters, Mary Louise (Raymond) Day of East Enterprise, Ind., Jeanette (late, Duke) Bentle of Bright, Ind., and Ruth (Clarence) Fryman of Dillsboro, Ind. She was preceded in death by parents, grandsons, Adam Ray and Jason Ray Woliung, and sister, Dora Lee Harness.
Friends will be received noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, at St. John Lutheran Church (Bellaire), 4937 Ind. 48, Lawrenceburg. Services will be held at the Church, Friday, at 2 p.m., immediately following visitation, with Pastor Matthew Voyer officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
