Died 6:15 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 1986, in Independence. She was 62, a native of Roseland and resident of Hillsdale. Visiting at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday and 8 to 9:45 a.m. Monday. Religious services at St. Helena Catholic Church, Amite, 10 a.m. Monday, conducted by Father John O'Connell. Burial in Roberts Cemetery.
Survived by a daughter, Lisa Durnin, Hillsdale; three sons, John N. Durnin, Amite, Paul W. Durnin, Independence, and Raymond Durnin, Hillsdale; mother, Mrs. Carrie Jackson Strong, Roseland; two brothers, Johnny and Eugene Strong, both of Amitte; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Marquette, Roseland, and Mrs. Carrie Myrtle DesPlas, Metairie; and four grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Ray E. Durnin.
