HEYWORTH.\'97 (PNS) -\'97Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Petty of Heyworth entertained Wednesday evening with a 6 o'clock dinner in honor of their son, James and his bride. They were married in Charles, Mo., May 31 and had just returned from a
short wedding trip through the Ozarks.
Mrs. Petty was formerly Miss Elaine Yanney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Yanney, 615 East Empire street, Bloomington. Both young people are graduates of the Heyworth Community high school. They will make their home in Peoria where Mr, Petty is employed with the Sweeney Oil company.

James G. Petty
James G. Petty, 58, of Port St. Lucie, Fla. and formerly of 607 McGregor St. died at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday at Lawnwood Medical Center, Fort Pierce, Fla. He had resided in Florida six years. He had been ill several years.
His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Beck Memorial Home, the Rev. Jim Pruyne officiating.
Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the memorial home.
He was born Dec. 27, 1920. at Armington. a son of James and Zella Turner Petty. He married Elaine Yanney June 1, 1941. at St. Charles, Mo. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Heyworth; a son, Stan, Terre Haute, Ind.; a daughter, Rita Gibson, 1540 Hunt
Drive, Normal; a sister. Dorothy Rees, Heyworth; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister and his father.
He was a former employee of Caterpillar Tractor Co., Morton.
