Died 12:55 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, 1991, at Pointe Coupee General Hospital, New Roads. He was 88, a native and resident of Ventress. He was an automobile salesman. Visiting at Niland's Funeral Home, New Roads, 8 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. Religious services at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Dean Martin. Burial in Chenal Cemetery, Chenal.
Survived by a daughter, Beverly Margo Olinde, Baton Rouge; four sons, Jesse W. and Ralph Olinde, both of Baton Rouge, Allen M. and Charles G. Olinde, both of Ventress; six sisters, Mrs. Sidney (Ida) Lacoste and Mrs. A.K. (Edith) Durnin, both of Baton Rouge, Mrs. William (Matilda) Gremillion, Ventress, Mrs. Clarence (Winnie) Aguillard, Jarreau, Mrs. Bill (Mable) Alford and Mrs. Roy (Lillian) Bergeron, both of Livonia; three brothers, Edwin Olinde, Ventress, and Tanner and Frank Olinde, both of Baton Rouge; 10 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Henrietta Major Olinde; andtwo brothers, Noah and Numa Olinde.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Woodmen of the World.
