         Hayes - Smith   Wedding Saturday
   The marriage of Miss Jean Smith youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith of Fourth Street, to Mr. Willard Hayes of Riverdale, was solemnized Saturday, August 17th at 7 p. m. at the United Brethren parsonage, Cheviot, 0., in an impressive ring ceremony with the Rev. E. S. Cormey officiating.
   Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Neidhard of Cheviot were the only attendants. Mr. Neidhard is a brother-in-law of the groom. .
   The bride, an attractive brunette, was attired in a handsome wedding dress of pink silk crepe with embroidered organdy trim. She wore pink slippers, a picture
hat of white and carried a pink bag. Her flowers were a gardenia corsage. Her attendant was gowned in blue with pink accessories, and wore a pink rose corsage.
   The groom wore a blue grey suit and his attendant gray.
   Following the ceremony the wedding supper was served at the Retschulte Inn, Ft. Mitchell, after which the evening was spent at Beverly Hills Country Club.
   The bride and groom then left on a two weeks' honeymoon, visiting the World's Fair, Washington, D. C. and Niagara Falls and upon their return will be temporarily at home at Riverdale.
   The bride is a graduate of the A.H.S., class of '36, and has been employed at Seagrams for the past several years.
   The groom is a graduate of Woodward High School of Cincinnati, 0., 1935. and attended the University of Cincinnati for three years. For the past four years he has held a position in the office of the Joseph E. Seagram Sons. 
   This popular young couple received many handsome wedding gifts indicative of the high esteem in which they are held.

Pills Fatal to Woman
Mrs. Jeanne Hayes. 37, of Washington avenue, North Bend, died Sunday in General Hospital after taking an overdose of barbiturate tablets, the coroner's office reported. She was brought to the hospital from her home Saturday by the Cleves life squad. She had been under treatment of a physician.
