Kennedy-Edwards
Mr. and Mrs. Harold S. Edwards of Springfield announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter. Miss Sharon Ann Edwards, and Joseph David Kennedy, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kennedy of Springfield.
The couple will exchange vows Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Blood River Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith west of Springfield, with a reception in the church annex. Through this medium friends and relatives are invited to the wedding and reception.
Miss Edwards is the granddaughter of Mrs. Louise Edwards and the late Sam Edwards of Ponchatoula and Mr. and Mrs. W. A. McKinney of Springfield.
The future bridegroom's grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Tom Kennedy of Magnolia, Miss., and Mrs. Ruth Shandor and the late John Shandor of Springfield.

Died Saturday, Dec. 4, 1993, at North Oaks Medical Center. She was 76, a native and resident of Springfield. She was a housewife. Visiting at Blood River Church of God, Springfield, 8 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Billie Kennedy. Burial in Carter Cemetery.
Survived by husband, Walter Kennedy, Springfield; two sons, Joseph David Kennedy, Springfield, and Curtis Walter Kennedy, Ponchatoula; three daughters, Mrs. W.L. (Juanita) Kinchen, Springfield, Mrs. Hubert (Betty Gay) Rena, Metairie, and Josephine Ruth Kennedy, Springfield; foster daughter, Regina Gayle McCord, Springfield; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lela Booth, Springfield. Preceded in death by parents, John and Ruth Richardson Shandor; a sister, Ada Irby; and a great-grandson, Eric Kinchen.
