CLASH WITH NEGRO ENDS IN INJURY

Henry Silbernagel, 31 years old, of 3153 Urquhart street, was knocked to the street yesterday morning by an unidentified negro who tried to climb aboard a Tchoupitoulas street-car at Common and Tchoupitoulas streets, ahead of several white persons. In falling, Silbernagel suffered a fracture of the left leg.

Patrolman Jacob Young and a number of pedestrians pursued the negro, but he escaped on Common street. Police are seeking him.

3253 Urquart St, New Orleans, LA Head of Household is Barbara Guzman, who rents the house for $16 a month. She is a 35 year old white female, married when she was 26, born in Louisiana as were her parents. She lives with her two sons, ages 7 and 6, Erauste and Calvin, and her brother Henry Silbernagel. Henry is 37 years old, single and employed as a meter repair man for the city.

SILBERNAGEL -- Of 3618 Marais street, Sunday, July 23, 1939, at 1:12 o'clock a.m., HENRY J. SILBERNAGEL, beloved husband of Myrtle Gelder, brother of Mrs. L. Prudhomme, Mrs. F. X. Perschall, Mrs. J. Guxmann, Mrs. S. Paretti, Clarence and George Silbernagel, aged 45 years, a native of New Orleans, La.
Relatives and friends of the family, also the employees of Sewerage and Water Board, Juvenile Court, Alden Mills, Ninth Ward Old Regular Democratic Association and Louisiana Democration Organization, are invited to attend the funeral Monday, July 24, 1939, at 3:30 o'clock p. m., from the mortuary of Jacob Schoen & Son, 527 Elysian Fields avenue. Religious services at Holy Trinity church.
Interment in St. Vincent De Paul Cemetery No. 2.
