SELLERS

Walter Dewey Sellers, second son of William and Alma Hull Sellers, was born March 17, 1899, in Monroe County, Ia. He passed away August 8, 1976 at Lucas County Memorial Hospital, after a short illness, at the age of 77 years, 4 months and 22 days.

On December 24, 1920, he was united in marriage to Nora Hixson. To this union was born five children: Wilma Johnson of Creston; Harold of Chariton; Fern Cottrell of Melrose; Marilyn James and Wretha Paige of Chariton.

Surviving are his wife, Nora; five children; one daughter-in-law, Dorothy; four sons-in-law, Frank Johnson, Dale Cottrell, Jack James and Don Paige; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Everett of Des Moines and Willis of Lakewood, Calif.; and two sisters, Viola Darrah of Chariton, and Edna Lane of Yakima, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charles and Albert and one sister, Beulah.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. David McLarty, at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 10, at the Fielding Funeral Home. Interment was in the Russell Cemetery.
