Per Times-Picayune, The (New Orleans, LA) - October 28, 1992
John W. Schwab Sr., a retired van and storage executive, died Sunday at Southern Baptist Hospital. He was 82. Mr. Schwab was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He was a graduate of Jesuit High School, Tulane University and Tulane Law School. He worked many years for C&W Transfer and Storage, and then for Bokins Van and Storage from 1975 until his retirement in 1985. Survivors include his wife, Lucy Lesesne Schwab; a son, John W. Schwab Jr.; two daughters, Lucy W. Selman and Lyn S. McCabe; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A Mass was said Tuesday at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. Burial was in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery.
