Carolyn Schwab McCabe,a pre-kindergarten teacher at Holy Name of Jesus Elementary School, died Monday of cancer at her home. She was 56. Mrs. McCabe was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She attended the University of Alabama. Survivors include her husband, John N. McCabe; four sons, Morrell S., John R. and David S. Crane and Kevin M. McCabe; a daughter, Carolyn B. Crane; her mother, Lucy Lesesne Schwab; a sister, Lucy Schwab Selman; a brother, John W. Schwab Jr.; and two grandchildren. A Mass will be said today at 2 p.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 6220 LaSalle Place. Burial will be in Metairie Cemetery. Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Crane-Schwab Wedding to Hold Interest Today
A wedding of interest this Saturday morning will be that of Miss Carolyn Barclay Schwab, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John White Schwab, to Mr. Morell Spencer Crane, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rene Murphy Crane. The ceremony will be solemnized at 11 o'clock in the Church of the Most Holy Name of Jesus.
A small reception for the immediate family members and close friends will follow at the Orleans Club.
Miss Schwab has chosen as her maid of honor her sister, Miss Lucy Lesesne Schwab. The bridesmaids will be Misses Ann Wilmot, cousin of the prospective bride; Justine Bernard, Susan Ryan, Mimi Clann and Judith Screven of Mobile, Ala. Flower girl will be Carol Ann Prendergast, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Prendergast and niece of the bridegroom-elect.
Mr. Rene M. Crane Jr. will be his brother's best man and the groomsmen will include Messrs. St. Denis Villere II, Roy St. Paul, S. Nolte de Russy Jr., James J. Reiss Jr. and John Prendergast. Ushers will be Messrs. G. Price Crane Jr. and Herbert Meade of Natchez, Miss., cousins of the prospective bridegroom; Dennis Drenning and John B. Sanford III.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Deas Lesesne of Mobile, Ala., grandparents of the bride-elect, are among out-of-town guests here for the wedding. Others here from Mobile include Mrs. Schwab's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. P. D. Benville, and their children, Linda and Barclay, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Childers Jr., Mr. and Mrs. William Potts, Mr. and Mrs. William Stapler and Mr. and Mrs. Crawford Balsh. Also in New Orleans from elsewhere are Mr. and Mrs. James Cole and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Mead of Natchez, Mr. Charles Myler Jr. of Muskegon, Mich., and the prospective bridegroom's uncle, Mr. Warren Crane, and his daughter, Miss Shirley Crane of San Antonio, Tex.

A profusion of stock, gladioli and Easter lilies adorned the Church of the Most Holy Name of Jesus lilies morning for the marriage of Miss Carolyn Barclay Schwab, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John White Schwab, to Mr. Morell Spencer Crane, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rene Murphy Crane. The Rev. Harry Crane, S. J., cousin of the bridegroom, officiated at the ceremony, which took place at 11 o'clock.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father who gave her in marriage. Her bridal gown of candlelight Italian silk taffeta was cut with a bateau neckline and long sleeves which tapered to points over the wrists. The flared skirt was trimmed with a wide bias fold of the taffeta which was attached lower in back and was finished on the cathedral length train in a large, butterfly bow. A coronet of seed pearls held her fingertip length veil of silk illusion and she carried a bouquet of white orchids and lilies of the valley.
Miss Lucy Lesesne Schwab was her sister's maid of honor and the bridesmaids included Misses Ann Wilmot, cousin of the bride, Mimmie Clann, Justine Bernard, Susan Ryan and Judith Screven, of Mobile, Ala. Their patio length sheath frocks of pale lilac color taffeta featured harem styled overskirts of the material. On their heads they wore coronets of lavender stock and they carried bouquets of the stock and iris.
Little Carol Ann Prendergast, niece of the bridegroom, who was a flower girl, wore a short frock of white dotted Swiss organdy trimmed in lace. She wore a coronet of pale lilac color sweet peas amd she carried a nosegay of the blossoms.
Mr. Rene M. Crane Jr. was his brother's best man and serving as groomsmen and ushers were Messrs. John Prendergast, James J. Reiss Jr., St. Denis Villere II, C. Nolte De Russy Jr., Roy St. Paul, John B. Sanford III, Dennis DRenning, and G. Price Crane Jr. and Herbert Mead, the latter of Natchez, Miss., and both cousins of the bridegroom.
Mr, and Mrs, Schwab were hosts at a reception immediately following the ceremony at the Orleans Club on upper St. Charles ave. Mrs. schwab chose for her daughter's wedding a pale pink linen sheath piped at the neck and waist line in matching pink satin. Her small hat was of pink flowers and her corsage bouquet was of pink cymbidium orchids. Mrs. Crane, mother of the bridegroom, wore a sheath of beige organza over silk taffeta, beige flowered hat and a corsage bouquet of matching colored orchids.
Later in the afternoon Mr. crane and his bride left on a wedding trip to Point Clear, Ala., and Florida, following which they will reside at 1302 Henry Clay ave. The bride chose for her going away outfit a beige raw silk dress topped with a matching box jacket, beige straw hat trimmed with a pearl lacqured feather, black patent leather accessories and a white orchid corsage bouquet.
