VERA MERCIER FISCHER
PONCHATOULA - Vera Mercier Fischer, 66, died at Kenner Regional Medical Center Friday, July 28, 2000. She was a native and resident of Ponchatoula.
Survivors include four sons, George Aubrey Fischer Jr. of Hammond, Perry Clinton Fischer of Ponchatoula, Bruce Anthony Fischer of Ponchatoula and Clifford Darryl Fischer of Greenbriar, Ark.; two sisters, Evelyn Tourillion of Mississippi and Sandra Gould of Hammond; a brother, Perry Arlen Mercier of Albany; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her husband, A. Fischer Sr., preceded her in death as did two daughters, Vickie Traylor and Arlene Williams, and her mother and stepfather, Ima Jenkins and Clinton Albin.
Visitation at Harry McKneely and Son, Ponchatoula, will be today from 6 to 10 p.m., and Monday from 8 until the funeral at 10:30 p.m. The Rev. Jimmy Wall will conduct the service. Burial will be in Ponchatoula Cemetery.
