Mrs. Peter L. Grala
Mrs. Peter L. Grala, of 54 North Laurel street, passed away suddenly in the Hazleton State Hospital early Sunday morning.
State Hospital attaches announced last night that Mrs. Grala gave birth to a child eight days ago, at her home, and that she was rushed to the hospital Saturday night by ambulance, passing away in the institution four hours after being admitted.
Mrs. Grala was formerly Miss Wanda Sostoski, of this city, and before marriage she was employed as telephone supervisor for the Lehigh Telephone Company, of this city. She also held a similar position at Washington, D. C.
Surviving is her husband, Peter L. Grala. and three children, Richard, Peter, Jr., and Leona. Her mother, Mrs. Anna Sostoski, one sister, Mrs. Sofia Piontkoski, of Camden, N. J., and a brother, Joseph Sostoski, of Philadelphia, also survive.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a. m., with a requiem high mass in the Transfiguration church at West Hazleton at 9:30 a. m. Interment will be made in the parish cemetery.
