• SULPHUR -- Services for Willard Wade Runnels , 84, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Clagg Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bob Moody officiating. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Runnels was born Sept. 3, 1915, at Locksburg, Ark., to Tilman B. and Minnie Thompson Runnels He died Jan. 22, 2000, in Sulphur.

A resident of Sulphur since age 6, he graduated from Sulphur High School. He worked in construction acting as superintendent for Sulphur Builders, Nelson and R.F.D. construction companies. He and Barbara Montgomery were married on Jan. 28, 1940, at Lawton. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, of the home. He was preceded in death by three brothers, A.E. R.K. and Wilburt; and a sister, Ruth Dismukes.

Bearers will be Shelley Simpson, Dr. Van Woo, Steve Cavin, Charles, Ken and Stan Davis.
